Working Together
Over the past several years, our staff has worked closely with other county personnel
on important county issues. In 2016 we continued to support various county
initiatives. Some of the ways we assisted other county departments in 2016 include:
Collaborating with the Montgomery County
Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites Division and
the Health Department on the successful trail
promotion initiative
Preparing plans and performing various design
services for Lorimer Park, the Peter Wentz
historic site, and Green Lane Park
Creating high quality professional graphic
materials for 10 county departments
Preparing the NPDES stormwater management
permit application for all county facilities
Establishing a shredding program for county
departments to ensure the safe recycling of
important county documents
Assisting the Department of Assets and
Infrastructure and its consultant in developing
a hydroelectric feasibility study for the
Norristown Dam
Providing GIS and technical assistance to the
Board of Assessment Appeals to maintain
county property records
Preparing maps and information to assist the
Public Safety Department
Providing demographic and development
forecast information to the Finance
Department for budgeting and bond financing
Identifying potential industrial and commercial
property for the Commerce Department in its
effort to attract new businesses
Assisting the Health Department in the
development of its safe routes to school project
Volunteering time to assist Voter Services in
preparing for the presidential election
Developing an asset inventory for the
county- maintained trail system to be used by
the Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites Division
